Keolis provides details on the new features of the Tango network that will be applied from January 6, 2025. Midi Libre – MiKAEL ANISSET
The SNTU-CFDT recently regretted the loss of round trips on lines 10 and 14 of the Tango network from January 6, a deterioration in service and relations with management. The network manager Keolis provides an update on the developments.
From January 6, 2025, the Tango public transport network will be evolving on lines 10 (Mas de Mingue, Gambetta, route d'Uzès with a terminus at the station) and 14 (Pont de Justice, Leclerc, city center, Castanet, Vacquerolles golf course), which has worried the SNTU-CFDT union. The latter shared its concerns on Friday, December 13: more waiting times, elimination of round trips. Worse, the union fears changes in frequency that will cause stress among drivers and degrade the service.
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000Keolis offers another vision of these changes. It notes operational difficulties on lines 10 and 14: “The travel time issues generate a frequency of 20 minutes in reality compared to 15 minutes planned on the timetables. There are sometimes cancelled timetables due to delays, very busy vehicles at peak times, particularly during the 7:12 a.m. departure from Mas d'Escattes arriving at the station at 7:44 a.m.”
Improvement of frequency at peak times
The transport operator, which insists on the quality of the service “achieved with constant resources”, announced on January 6 “travel times corresponding to the reality, with improved punctuality on lines 10 and 14, five minutes of additional travel time per trip”.
Keolis insists on “schedules adapted to the needs and time constraints of travelers (arrivals at Nîmes schools, connections with other lines in the network), with an improvement in frequency from 15 to 10 minutes during peak times, a frequency of 15 to 20 minutes during the rest of peak hours.”
For its part, the SNTU-CFDT had pointed out the savings of €4 million which, according to this union, will lead to a further deterioration in the transport service “from September 2025 when Keolis will have taken the measure of the network”. Users of lines 10 and 14 will therefore judge the developments on the basis of the evidence.
