Femicide in Gironde. The events took place in the middle of the afternoon this Thursday in Cenon, a town located in the suburbs of Bordeaux. The police intervened in an apartment after being called by a man who said he had killed his wife, according to information from Sud Ouest.
The victim is a 41-year-old mother, an agent of the finance department of the City of Cenon for 12 years, indicates France Bleu. Her throat was slit by her partner at her home in a residence located on the 3rd floor.

The latter was arrested and taken into custody by the police. “An investigation into the murder of a spouse has been opened and entrusted to the Territorial Crime Division”, the prosecutor's office said, quoted by the local daily.
“We are thinking directly of her family, her three young children, one of whom suffers from autism spectrum disorder. This is a real tragedy, because she was a discreet but smiling woman who was very committed to her work”, reacted the mayor of the town, Jean-François Egron.
