Nexos.ai raises $8M to facilitate AI coordination within companies

Lithuania is once again asserting itself as a major hub of technological innovation with the emergence of Nexos.ai, a startup that aims to coordinate the uses of different artificial intelligences in business. Founded by Tomas Okmanas and Eimantas Sabaliauskas, the creators of the unicorn Nord Security (also behind the famous VPN NordVPN), Nexos.ai has just emerged from the shadows with an $8 million fundraising round.

Due to the remarkable track record of the founders, Nexos.ai has attracted renowned investors, led by Index Ventures, which is making its first investment in Lithuania. On LinkedIn, Tomas Okmanas specifies that it only took him 48 hours to close the round of funding following strong enthusiasm from investors. Other investors include Creandum, Dig Ventures, as well as leading business angels such as the CEOs of Datadog, Klarna, Supercell and Wix.

Structuring the use of AI

This new company is part of the Lithuanian success stories, recalling the success of Vinted, another of the country's unicorns, and confirming Lithuania's position as a fertile ground for technological innovation. Nexos.ai is positioning itself in a crucial niche: helping companies better coordinate the use of large language models (LLM).

Nexos.ai addresses a growing need for enterprises looking to deploy AI at scale. Tom Okmanas explains in the release that moving AI pilots to production poses many challenges, including availability, security, and cost management. Nexos.ai's platform aims to bridge this gap by providing access to over 200 AI models through a simple API and allowing enterprises to easily switch between different providers in the event of outages or excessive costs.
