Nîmes Olympique: after the defeat (1-2) at the end of the match against the leader, Nancy, the Crocos' notes

Like Ismaël Camara, beaten here by Thiare, Nîmes was beaten by a narrow margin by Nancy. MIDI LIBRE – MIKAËL ANISSET

Beaten at home by Nancy (1-2), who are not leaders for nothing, the Nîmes team did what they could but they lacked a little to hope for more.

Ngapandouentnbu (6): he is probably one of the three best goalkeepers in National and proved it again against the leader, Nancy, keeping his team in the game for a long time. Saves his team with an acrobatic save with his foot on the attempt by the left-handed Experience (10th). Comes out well, with his foot, in front of Touré, and clears his camp (45th).

Anticipates again promptly, outside his area, in front of the Lorraine striker (49th). Again there to prevent ASNL from breaking by deflecting, with a cuff, a curling shot from Fdaouch (70th), then annihilates a real opportunity to score against the opposition (75th). Couldn't do anything about the two goals conceded, nor about Toure's opening goal (0-1, 32nd) nor about Dabasse's header (1-2, 86th).

Labonne (3): “mistakes” in his interception on Nancy's first big chance, without consequences for NO, Simon interposing himself in front of his goal (10th). With Gomel and Expérience taking turns in his zone, he didn't hold back, not always at the party in the second half, like the rest of NO's rearguard.

Iafrate (5): he had not been a starter since the 5th matchday, taking advantage of Diouf's suspension against ASNL. Apart from an absence at the start of the match, overtaken by Gomel and his call behind him (7th), the former Alésien generally delivered, vigilant and focused. Puts his foot in to intervene on a Nancy attack close to the surface (17th).

Offensively, author of a nice opening in the run of Beneddine, whose cross found Mexico… and the Lorraine defense. Replaced by Marwane Hermach (81st) who, on Nancy's 2nd goal, lets Experience cross too easily (86th). In added time, the brother of the Nîmes coach was sent off for a dangerous tackle on Cissé (90th + 2).

Paviot (4):offensive, his right-footed shot – he is left-handed – is too crushed, but causes the first corner of the match (5th). On the ASNL goal, he lines up badly, covering Sidibé, who provided the assist for Toure.

Is lobbed on Bouriaud's corner, Carlier's header not being on target (47th), then on a new Gard offensive, again too short with his header (83rd). Still too short in the air, lobbed again on the Nancy goal (1-2).

Beneddine (4): as always, he was active offensively in his left lane. Defensively, it was a little more complicated, however, with the former Ponot having to manage Sidibe's speed. On a Lorraine attack, moreover, the Nancy right winger, by his call, escaped his vigilance, serving Toure for the leader's opening score (0-1, 33rd).

Picouleau (3): sick last week, he showed himself to be inside, this could explain that. Held an hour, below his level, before being replaced by Doukansy (64th).

Akkal (3): on a counter, he lacks application on his transmission to Marcel, whom he serves too late, and offside (4th). Well positioned twenty-five meters away, full axis, completely unscrews his shot, which flies into the sky (25th).

Ideally served by Marcel, does not put enough power in his shot from the right to surprise the Lorraine goalkeeper, Sourzac, with a firm hand, on the ground (31st). Replaced by Camara (58th).

Mexico (3): he sometimes lacked impact and presence in midfield. In added time in the first half, he infiltrates the area but his attempt is pushed back by Sourzac (45th + 2). Much more timid in the second half, like the entire Gard midfield.

Bouaoune (4): silky technical moves, but not always effective. The young pro sometimes makes life too complicated for himself, especially in risky areas, in the middle. Little seen until then in the second act, he was nevertheless at the origin of the crocodile equalizer, his deep pass in the surface being recovered by Marcel (71st).

Marcel (6): in support of Abdeldjelil, he had difficulty in positioning himself in certain situations in attack. As technical with the ball at his feet as he is light in the athletic field, at times.

Emerges at the right time, in the area, to recover a service from Bouaoune and deceive Sourzac with a powerful strike… with his right, he, the left-hander, to equalize (1-1, 71st) and score his first goal of the season in the championship.

Abdeldjelil (4): alone up front, with Marcel in support, NO's top scorer (6 goals in the championship) did what he could, combative but often too isolated. With his head, he cannot beat back a strong cross from Beneddine, slightly dominated by the ball (38th). Often caught in the solid Lorraine pincer movement composed of Captain Saint-Ruf and Thiare.
