On loan from RC Strasbourg last August, striker Ali Abdallah left the crocodile club and returned to the Alsatian squad.
Aboubacar Ali Abdallah is no longer a Nîmes Olympique player. The striker loaned by Strasbourg at the end of August 2024 has returned to Alsace.
The National ranking
“The Strasbourg club called me to ask if I was happy with the player, explains Sébastien Larcier, director of Nîmes Olympique, interviewed this Thursday, January 2 at La Bastide. I replied that no, that we were not satisfied with his human investment. And since he didn't necessarily feel happy here recently, a common agreement was quickly found, especially since Racing's policy is to recover its loaned players (Patrick Ouotro, who was in Martigues, has also just been repatriated to Alsace, Editor's note).”

10 appearances, 1 goal
Ali Abdallah did not take part in the return to training with the Crocodiles last week. Having gone to get engaged in Reunion Island, where he was born, during the Christmas holiday week, the 18-year-old striker went straight to Strasbourg upon his return. In total, he wore the Nîmes Olympique jersey ten times (7 starts) and scored one goal, the one in the 1-0 victory against Versailles at the Antonins on 20 September, during the 9th day of the National.
No one to replace him
Will Nîmes Olympique look for another striker to replace him?? “No”, replies Sébastien Larcier. As RC Strasbourg took care of the entire salary, Ali Abdallah's departure does not free up any wage bill. “We have a quality group and the raw material to do much better”, assures the crocodile sports director.
Léon Delpech hasn't been used for a single minute since the start of the season. He hasn't even been listed on a match sheet. Midi Libre – Mikaël Anisset
Léon Delpech on the way out
Another player is missing: Léon Delpech. The 22-year-old midfielder, not used for a single second this season by Adil Hermach, not even on the slightest match sheet, is currently on trial at Le Mans, 10th in the National.
Linked to Nîmes Olympique until June 2025, will Delpech terminate his contract? “We're not there yet, notes Sébastien Larcier, but it could take this form”, if the trial at Le Mans (or elsewhere) was conclusive.
