Nîmes Olympique: Amara is (im)patient, Delpech will not go to Le Mans, the sick are back, the young people are still there, the echoes of the Crocos

Abdelmalek Amara worked physically apart from the group, this Monday, January 6, at La Bastide. Midi Libre – Thierry Albenque

“It's still painful.” Abdelmalek Amara is patient and impatient. He is still not operational. The bone problem at the level of the fifth metatarsal of his left foot is dragging on.

The check-up last week showed that the recovery was on track. But the former Paris 13 Atletico striker, who only played 120 minutes in the Championship and 34 in the Cup, still seems far from being able to take on the role of the offensive savior, as he was content, on Monday, January 6, to work physically.

The sick players back on the field

Amara and Cozzella (left hamstring), also in the rehabilitation phase, are the only two players who have stopped. The sick players from last week are indeed back on the field. Ngapandouetnbu, Picouleau, Labonne, Lemaangr and Doukansy normally participated in the session this Monday afternoon.

On the program: exercises in front of the goal (“Score, score, score”, the staff often repeated), conservation and recovery work.

Three young players from the reserve team still there

Among the twenty-three outfield players, there were still the young players from the reserve team Marwane Hermach (midfielder), Ahmedine Daoudi (attacker) and Yanis Klitim (defender).

Delpech did not convince at Le Mans

Also present, Léon Delpech, tried last week at Le Mans (National), who are looking for a creative midfielder. The left-handed crocodile, whose contract ends in June 2025 and has never been used this season by Hermach, took part with the Sarthe team on Saturday, January 4, in the friendly match (4 periods of thirty minutes) won 6-0 against Châteaubriand (N2). He played for an hour.

His try was inconclusive. “We didn't follow up, says Patrich Videira, the Le Mans coach, to Midi Libre. The player is aware and so is the club, I spoke to Adil (Hermach) on the phone.”
