Slimane will not be coming

#MONTPELLIER According to Le Parisien, Slimane will not be present at the Enfoirés show that will take place from January 14 to 20 at the Sud de France Arena in Montpellier.
According to the official version, the singer “will not be present because he will be on an international tour and therefore cannot perform all the Enfoirés shows as he wants to do”,indicate our colleagues from Le Parisien. As a reminder, Slimane is the target of two complaints for sexual harassment and sexual assault, notably by a technician.
And it would rather be for this unofficial reason, not to find themselves in a similar situation, that the Enfoirés chose not to invite the former winner of The Voice.

Was the execution filmed? ?

#TARN/AVEYRON Our colleagues from La Dépêche revealed that the body of a young agricultural technician from Aveyron, missing since 2021, was found buried under rubble in a quarry in Tarn. His mother, worried about not having heard from him, contacted the police in October 2021.

Research had been carried out but had remained fruitless. In the spring of 2023, the investigation had progressed thanks to the testimony of a Tarnais man working in a quarry. He had confided that one of his colleagues had confessed to him having killed a young man with whom he was in conflict. The latter had even shown him a video of the execution.

The main suspect, who was already in prison for other acts, was identified and taken into custody. The victim's remains were discovered in June 2023. A debt related to drugs is said to be at the heart of the dispute between the two men. The video of the murder has not been found and the suspect remains in custody awaiting trial.

Raves banned

#HÉRAULTPrefect François-Xavier Lauch has decided to ban rave parties in Hérault in 2025. In 2024, 17 rave parties took place illegally in the department, compared to 47 in 2023.

A ban that extends to the transport of sound equipment such as “sound systems” intended for these events, now formally prohibited on the department's roads. These musical events, which have sometimes brought together up to 6,000 people, often take place in sensitive areas and cause significant disturbances to public order.

The port of Sète is committed to “sustainable” cruises

#HÉRAULT The port of Sète has joined Marseille, Toulon and Nice in signing the Charter for Sustainable Cruises. “There are three main areas,” explains Olivier Carmes, the director. The first is to increase and promote electrical connections at the quayside.”This will be the case in 2026 for the Algiers quay. The other subject concerns the transport of passengers once they have disembarked.

“The objective is to decarbonize these bus trips as much as possible”. The third main axis is to promote local outings so that cruise passengers can do them in soft traffic or on foot. “A kind of green discovery”, says Olivier Carmes, delighted with the signature of the other ports.

Today's figure: 20,000

#LOZÈRE This is the number of kilometers traveled each year by Daniel Henry, an 87-year-old from Mende, during daily outings of 80 to 100 km. In 2024, he received the Tamburlini Prize, awarded each year to a Lozérien who has marked the cycling season through his action, commitment and volunteer work.

During thirty years of competition, he has a prestigious record of around 150 victories and countless podiums including the legendary Roc d'Azur master.
