No need to ask a stranger to take your photo anymore with this new Google feature

Google recently unveiled a new feature for its Pixel phones that lets you add people to a photo you've already taken.

Google has a history of revealing new AI-powered features when the company announces new products. During its Google Pixel 9 conference, the company notably mentioned a feature bluffing called “Add me” (or “Add me” in the language of Molière). The latter allows you to add people to your photo.

We already knew about Google's famous Magic Eraser that lets you remove objects and people from a photo. The new Google Pixels can now do the opposite! The “Add Me” feature, only available on the Pixel 9 to their launch, allows you to add a person to one of your photos.

To use "Add me", simply have a compatible Pixel phone and open the camera to find the option. Take a first photo of the group of people you want, then hand them your Google Pixel so they can take a photo of you in the same place. Your phone will then mix the two photos to create a new one where all the people are present.

The “Add me” feature is only available on the Google Pixel 9, Google Pixel 9 Pro, Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Google Pixel 9 Pro Fold at the time of writing. However, it would come as no surprise if the Mountain View firm added the option to older Pixel phone models in the coming months.
