There are people who have passions for money, for ambition… Everyone has their passions and they can obviously combine. But the passion for love, that seems essential to me”.

Gilles Verdez then asked her the secret of the longevity of their couple. “I think it's first of all admiration, mystery too… I think you shouldn't share everything anyhow, and then you have to put the other above yourself! The other's happiness should count more than everything”, she assured before specifying that they always addressed each other formally.

Arielle Dombasle: “Placing love at the command post of life”

In May 2024, in the podcast Femmes actuelles, from Télé-Loisirs and Femme actuelle, the artist had already indicated: You have to guess the other's unconscious in a certain wayand flow into the phantasmagoria of the other. Always dazzle him, always love him and place love at the command post of life. And also a sacrificial part. If we put love in the spotlight, at the command post of life, we have to sacrifice things for it”.

In June 2022, on the set of the show Chez Jordan, for Télé-Loisirs, Arielle Dombasle did not hide her admiration for her husband. “You know that Bernard-Henri has been traveling the world for forty years and trying to bring peace and shed light on forgotten wars. Ukraine is not the case, but people will quickly skip it because people get tired. Bernard-Henri is there to testify”, she had made it known.

Arielle Dombasle: “He dazzles me”

While she refuses certain projects to stay close to Bernard-Henri Lévy, the singer had explained: There are films where I say no. Leave for six months in Alaska… We are already inevitably separated. I am still in fiction and he himself travels so much”.

In love, it was in the columns of Gala that Arielle Dombasle had previously slipped: “He dazzles me and he always eludes me. And then, you know, I really go into existence with the idea that nothing is ever acquired. All human relationships are fragile, like crystal”.
