According to the synopsis proposed by Warner Bros:
Nearly 5,000 years after being imbued with the all-powerful powers of the Egyptian gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice upon the modern world.
While not a masterpiece, this film starring the DC Universe's beloved antihero hits the mark. Dwayne Johnson clearly doesn't deserve an Oscar for his performance, but he does honorably.
Merry Christmas (TF1 Séries-Films, 9:05 p.m.)
200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000
It is December 24, 1914, on this Christmas Eve, French, Scottish and German soldiers face each other in a cruel and murderous trench war. They end up laying down their arms and fraternizing.
You have to see this moving film by Guillaume Canet, especially for its beautiful (true) story but also for its impressive cast: Diane Kruger, Guillaume Canet, Gary Lewis, Dany Boon, Alex Ferns, Steven Robertson, Robin Laing, Ian Richardson, and Lucas Belvaux, Bernard Le Coq, and Michel Serrault.
The First Star (W9, 9:10 p.m.)
As France 2 Cinéma explains in its synopsis:
Jean-Gabriel, married and father of three children, lives from odd jobs and spends his time at the local PMU bar. One day, to please his daughter, he promises the whole family a bit too quickly to take them on a skiing holiday. The only problem: this time, if he doesn't keep his promise, his wife will leave him. He's going to have to show boundless imagination to achieve this…
Lucien Jean-Baptiste manages to make us smile and move us on multiple occasions in this production where he partly recounts his childhood memories.
That's all for this week. Note, if these three films are not to your taste, that there will be other feature films this Sunday evening on TNT, including Le Tourbillon de la vie (France 2, 9:10 p.m.), La main au collet (Arte, 9 p.m.), and San Andreas (TF1, 11:30 p.m.). You can also catch up on last week's gems in replay by rereading our previous article here.
