Opening of the compensation system for losses of beekeeping harvests in the Gard

L’arrêté préfectoral du 24 janvier 2025 encadre les procédures d’indemnisation par l’ISN des pertes de récolte de miel et de pollen qui ont été constatées sur l’ensemble du Gard en 2024.

On December 11, 2024, the Commission responsible for the Orientation and Development of Insurance guaranteeing damage caused to Crops (CODAR*), ruled on the request for recognition under the Compensation based on National Solidarity (ISN) following the excessive rain from March to May 2024.

Beekeepers affected by these crop losses must send their request for compensation to the DDTM du Gard only by post from January 27 to March 27, 2025. This system is reserved for farmers who do not have crop insurance. The compensation application procedure is carried out using paper forms.

Calculation of compensation

The minimum threshold of crop loss to be compensated is 30 %.
The loss is calculated by comparing the 2024 harvest to the five-year or three-year Olympic average of the farm's production.
