A stewardess tells this 53-year-old woman from Toulouse that her cabin baggage is too big and asks her to pay 58 euros.
After an unsuccessful attempt at negotiation, the traveler pays her luggage and gets in line to board.
“I've paid for everything, I'm getting on”
She then said to her friend, speaking of the hostesses, “what a bunch of c…!”, without addressing the hostesses, but to my friend who accompanied me”. The situation worsens at this point: “There, a ground stewardess blocked me with her arm and I replied “I paid for everything, I'm getting on”. These ladies contacted the border police and they removed me from the plane even though I had apologized.”
“Treated like a terrorist”
The apologies were clearly not enough. “I was treated like a terrorist. It was humiliating. I cried for three days”, the Toulouse woman still remembers.
On December 10, 2024, she decided to file an online complaint to receive an apology.
Contacted by our colleagues, the easyJet company indicated that it had drawn up an incident report stating “a forced passage to get to the plane” and explained that it had acted in this way “due to disruptive behavior at the time of boarding”.
A train journey
The passenger refutes these accusations. “I paid for my luggage and I have the receipt signed by the lady from the airline as proof. The staff also beeped my boarding pass after checking my identity. So I didn't force anything at all.”
The fifty-year-old finally took the train to Lyon and promised herself not to take another easyJet flight anytime soon.
