IN BRIEF
- An anonymous woman accuses Jay-Z and P. Diddy of raping her when she was 13 years old at a party after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000.
- Through his lawyer, Jay-Z has filed numerous requests to publicly reveal the identity of his accuser and thus have his case dismissed.
- But Judge Analisa Torres was not very appreciative repeated requests from Jay-Z and his lawyer and has decided to side with the plaintiff.
It seems that the P. Diddy case, accused of sex trafficking and pimping, is taking a new turn. Indeed, the scandal could well splash another big name in American rap: Jay-Z, explains the Dailymail. Beyoncé's husband is indeed accused, alongside P. Diddy, of having raped a 13-year-old girl during a party after the MTV Video Music Awards in 2000.
By filing a complaint, the young woman wished to remain anonymous and was therefore nicknamed Jane Doe. An anonymity that was clearly not to Jay-Z's taste, who would have probably multiplied the judicial attempts to cover up the case or to publicly identify the victim. Attempts that have not left Judge Analisa Torres unmoved, who has not failed to make it known.

Indeed, Jay-Z's lawyer, Alex Spiro, also continues to use his muscular methods, has multiplied requests to force Jane Doe to reveal her true identity. Behind all these maneuvers, there is only one goal for the lawyer and his client: to have the case dismissed. A strategy deemed “aggressive” and “inappropriate” by Judge Analisa Torres. In her decision, the judge emphasizes that the repeated requests of Jay-Z's lawyer “waste judicial resources” and “are unlikely to benefit his client“. Because of which, the judge decided to maintain the complainant's anonymity, at least for this stage of the proceedings.
Jay-Z, who categorically denies the facts with which he is accused, did not fail to accuse the complainant and her lawyer, a man named Tony Buzbee, of having invented from scratch a “false story” in order to extort money from her. Accusations that Tony Buzbee brushed it off, saying he first sought to resolve the matter amicably before taking legal action.
P. Diddy also accused
In addition to accusing Jay-Z of rape, Jane Doe also accuses P. Diddy of being an accomplice in her assault. According to her, she was allegedly drugged unbeknownst to her before being raped by the two men in an apartment in which a female celebrity was allegedly present. Like Jay-Z, P. Diddy has strongly denied the facts with which he is accused in this case.
However, although this case does not appear to be linked to the one currently targeting P. Diddy, both cases point out the many abuses of power that exist, and that no one dares to talk about, whether in the music world or elsewhere. If the facts are proven, the consequences for Jay-Z could be dramatic, whether on his personal fortune, his professional life or his public image.
