IN BRIEF

  • Léon Bruel has just launched into music
  • In concert on Friday, December 14 in the United States, Léon gave his first show
  • And his father was very anxious

In the Bruel family, talent is passed down from father to son. Indeed, Léon, whose mother is Amanda Sthers, decided to launch himself in the song like his famous dad. With a surprising stage name, Hesby, which refers to both his parents, the young man will try his luck in English. “In the United States, I start from scratch without any special treatment”, explained Léon, for Le Parisien, Friday December 13.

“My father is not known here and that's good, I want to know what I'm worth on my own. I also chose my own name. My privilege lies in the fact that I'm lucky enough to have his advice and that he's an artist I admire. Music is a sharing and we often played and sang together in my childhood.”

Patrick Bruel reveals his anxiety about his son Léon

This Friday, December 13, he performed for the first time in concert at the Raymond Kabbaz theater, in Beverly Hills. His parents were of course present: “I'm super stressed for him,”confided Amanda Sthers, next to her son Oscar, and her mother Véronique Queffélec.

Patrick Bruel, at the back of the room, indicated:   “I didn't sleep all night. I was in concert yesterday in Toulouse but I wouldn't have missed Léon's first stage for anything in the world”. For Patrick Bruel, this leap into the void was a real success.

“I am very proud of my children”

But like all parents, the singer éwas very stressedé :  “It's still a big unknown… But he gives himself the means, he works in his studio, he prepares his sounds, his songs, his acting lessons”, he told our colleagues at Télé 7 days.

“I am very proud of my children, they are growing up in a world that has nothing to do with the one I knew when I started, so I have no advice to give them. I have simply tried to instill in them the value of things, as a father”. And out of the question for him to leave him with this élabel of “son of” : “It's better that he forges his identity as far away from us as possible. If he needs me, I'm there. But I don't have to speak for him or make him exist through me”
