On January 31, Patrick Sabatier was on the set of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine in C à vous. &On the occasion of the release of his new novel Don't tell Paul, published at the Rocher editions, the famous host returned to his career on television.

But here is Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine revealing a totally surreal anecdote: “You loved the celebrity that still had incredible perverse effects, especially the time where you were kidnapped from your home by someone who wanted to force you to invite a singer to TV or the radio”, says the host.

Patrick Sabatier remembers the time he was kidnapped

A piece of information that left speechless the columnists of the show and the guests. “How do you know that? ? Because we kept it secret for a very long time. Yes, there was someone who one day came to my house and told me that I had to take such and such a singer on the show”, specifies Patrick Sabatier, recalling this very painful memory. “Finally, a very specific name. He had a gun”.

The individual in question then followed the host to the RTL studios. “He was next to me in the car, and then he showed me that he was not alone. So he was armed. And I was besides for quite a while under close surveillance”, reveals the presenter. A terrifying memory that shows the other side of the celebrity set. 

The presenter's relationship to notoriety

Face &agrave Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, the former presenter of All on the front page, also returned to her relationship with this notoriety : “All the people who do television, we give a part of ourselves, but not totally what we are”, he explained.

“A television man is never really natural, and I have never been really natural like you are not”, he indicated. This public image is sometimes difficult to hold : “We are not natural, but at the same time, we have to draw from ourselves everything we have to share. It is normal that, among the friends I found, some appreciated me, others did not.”
