At the end of November, the sentence fell on Pierre Palmade after a resounding trial. The comedian was sentenced to five years in prison, two of which were firm, for having caused a dramatic road accident in February 2023, resulting in serious injuries to members of the same family.

For the past month, Pierre Palmade has been incarcerated in Bordeaux-Gradignan prison, back in his native region with his loved ones. In this overcrowded penitentiary, he has been placed in solitary confinement and subject toincreased surveillance due to his psychological fragility. Indeed, he finds himself alone in a cell of about ten square meters with at his disposal “a bed, a shower, a toilet and the means to make a basic kitchen”, report our colleagues from RTL who collected the evocative testimony of a guard.

Pierre Palmade in prison: his habits revealed

According to a guard at Bordeaux-Gradignan prison, Pierre Palmade kills time watching TV and writing. A heavy atmosphere. It is indeed between four walls that Muriel Robin's ex-sidekick spends most of his time. He doesn't go out for walks much, too “sordid” for him, said this witness who wished remain anonymous to our colleagues at RTL.

Pierre Palmade would therefore limit contact with other detainees. I am devastated to see the victims in real life, it is a moment that I dreaded. I am overwhelmed by Yüksel's injuries, by Mr. I ask you for forgiveness”, had launched in court the one who now keeps a low profile.

Pierre Palmade in prison: a fragile prisoner

In prison, Pierre Palmade is described as a “polite” and “discreet” prisoner by the guards according to RTL journalists. He also appears destroyed. Result: the guards' rounds would be more regular. A doctor visits him every week.

Starting in April, the actor will be able to request a sentence adjustment. If the judge accepts, Pierre Palmade will be able to finish serving his sentence outside of prison with an electronic bracelet. For the time being, it is the prison world that sets the pace for his days.
