Without commenting on this particular case, l' Toronto Police Association says there has been a “positive change” within the police service.

With the recruitment of new officers, there is less tolerance for inappropriate acts, and members are more likely to report these cases, says Association President Jon Reid , in a press release.

A police spokesperson adds that the service is currently evaluating possible changes to the training of supervisors, in matters of harassment, in particular.

We cannot comment on cases that are before the court disciplinary, but harassment and discrimination are banned in our organization, says spokesperson Devika Deonarine by email.
