Atlético Madrid Live

23:25 – Madrid hold-up, heads down for the Parisians, the summary of the match

PSG needed a win to get their European season back on track. Against Atlético Madrid, who are capable of outwitting the biggest teams, the Parisians got off to the best start. Thanks to some huge counter-pressing, Vitinha and his teammates put the Colchoneros in difficulty. Before the quarter-hour mark, it only took Ousmane Dembélé 3.5 seconds to recover the ball in the opposition's area and pass it to Warren Zaïre-Emery, who chipped the ball past Jan Oblak (1-0, 14th). Four minutes later, it's a cold shower at the Parc des Princes! Following a mix-up and a ball being pushed back, Nahuel Molina volleys past Donnarumma (1-1, 18th). The match resumes and the Parisians come up against an effective low block from the Colchoneros. The two teams return to the locker rooms.

After the break, it was the same music in the Parisian enclosure. Despite Luis Enrique's players coming back with other intentions, the glaring inefficiency put the Parisians at fault, who came up against Madrid's counterattacks. Oblak repelled the few attacks. After an incredible Parisian opportunity where Hakimi tried a chipped pass to Nuno Mendes, the capital's players obtained a corner, captured by the Atlético Madrid goalkeeper. The latter quickly passed it to Griezmann who found Angel Correa. The Argentinian hooks and gets rid of Vitinha, who is too tender before unleashing a shot with his left foot. Gianluigi Donnarumma deflects the ball which ends up in the back of the net at the end of added time (1-2, 90+3rd) and offers the victory to the Madrilenians.

With this second defeat in the Champions League, Paris Saint-Germain finds itself in danger and will have to go and get a result in Germany on November 26, against Bayern Munich.

23:20 – A complex calendar

With four points in four games, Paris Saint-Germain has not no longer have a choice and will have to go and get points. But the calendar that awaits the capital club seems complex:

  • Bayern Munich – PSG on November 26 at 9 p.m.
  • Red Bull Salzburg on December 10 at 9 p.m.
  • PSG – Manchester City on January 22 at 9 p.m.
  • Stuttgart – PSG on January 29 at 9 p.m.

23:15 – PSG 25th

With this defeat, Paris Saint-Germain falls back to 25th place after the fourth day of the Champions League. The Parisians are at one point from 24th place, which means a play-off for the rest of the competition.

23:10 – Marquinhos: “We can't do it”

Marquinhos on Canal+:  "We had confidence and hope. We knew that today was an important victory. We are progressing but we are not progressing in efficiency. Sometimes we make mistakes but we are not penalized. We knew their strategy and they have a lot of experience. We need more calm in front of goal. We saw that with Warren. We have the ball and we have control of the match but in the last passes and finishes, we can't do it. We make mistakes and in these kinds of matches, these are things that we have to improve. We are going to have great matches and we are going to have to go and get points. We know how difficult it is and if we have to go and get points, we are going to do it. If we want to grow in this competition, we do not have the right to miss out on the little details.”

We can improve but we have to keep our cool heads. We had chances and once again, we didn't score. It's tough. I think we have the level and we will do everything we can to qualify.”

At the end of added time, Paris Saint-Germain lost at home to Atlético Madrid (1-2) after this last goal from Angel Correa and saw direct qualification for the last sixteen of the Champions League slip away.

Thunderous counter-attack from Atlético! Oblak seizes the ball on the corner and launches Griezmann who waits. The ball reaches Angel Correa who hooks Vitinha before striking with his left. Donnarumma turns away but the ball ends up in the back of the net.

After a ball fumbled in the Parisian camp, the ball comes back to Antoine Griezmann. Despite support, the Frenchman strikes with his right foot but it flies behind Donnarumma's goal.

A defensive move that earned a goal! After a cross from Nuno Mendes, Reinildo beats Ousmane Dembélé to the far post and acrobatically repels the danger.

Since the start of the match, Bradley Barcola has not been able to be as effective as usual. The winger has not been able to make a difference in his corridor.

22:36 – Oblak saves his team!

What an opportunity for PSG! In the Madrid camp, Marquinhos looks for Hakimi in depth. The pass is deflected but it reaches the Moroccan who shoots from a tight angle. Oblak deflects it for a corner while Dembélé was alone behind.

22:33 – Hakimi blocked
