Regional newsagents meet in general assembly

Présidée par Vincent Garcia, gérant du tabac presse du Mas Roman, l’association Culture presse a dressé le bilan 2024 et esquissé les contours de l’année à venir.

The newsagents of the Nîmes depot held their general meeting in the superb setting of Lou Mas café at Mas des Abeilles. Vincent Garcia, manager of the Mas Roman tobacco-press and president of Culture presse for the Gard, Hérault and Vaucluse regions, welcomed Jean-Michel Detchart, the national president of Culture presse, for the occasion in the presence of a large number of newsagents.

“It should first be noted that Christian and Fabienne Privat are the owners of the Nîmes newsagent, the largest in France, an essential place for us, the distributors. This general meeting allows us to discuss all the problems and the future of our profession. Participants were then able to debate with speakers from various major groups such as the FDJ, the PMU, Nap and representatives of the local and regional press.

Vincent Garcia also welcomed Valentine Wolber, deputy mayor responsible for commerce, and Franck Proust, president of Nîmes Métropole, the latter saluting these important players in daily life: “I congratulate you because you have been able to overcome your difficulties by diversifying.
