The Montreal City Police Service (SPVM) is investigating gunshots heard during the night by residents of the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce district.
It was a 911 call around 2 a.m. Sunday that alerted police to several gunshots heard on Trans Island Avenue near Queen Road -Mary.
Upon their arrival, the police discovered at least one shell casing on the ground.
Checks are underway to locate surveillance cameras which would allow us to know a little more about this event. For the moment, no injuries have been reported and there have been no arrests, said agent Jeanne Drouin, spokesperson for the SPVM.
