Despite the cold wind, many people from Frontignan were at the market this Saturday, December 28, finalizing their Christmas preparations. A small additional stop on their usual route: the stand of the students from the Simone-de-Beauvoir middle school selling cakes to help finance a trip to Italy.

“Keep the change, it makes me happy! My son is a teacher and when I saw the article in Midi Libre, I looked for you because we must support these initiatives.” Many of them rounded up to the next euro, bought shortbread and raffle tickets to salute the mobilization of the middle school students. The seven 3rd year students from Simone-de-Beauvoir middle school did not hold back in their efforts to generate sales: a beautiful Christmas tablecloth, pretty, well-dressed plates, posters, tastings offered in the market aisles to attract people to the stand. With €277 collected, the results are very positive: “It was great and the people are so nice”, the middle school students enthuse. The raffle will close on February 5.

Tickets are still on sale at the concept Brame and at the boutique Indigène and it is not forbidden for the middle school students to return to the market to sell crepes. Indeed, Patrick Bourmond, municipal councillor delegated to Commerce, who came to greet them and explain how the market works, told them that he would give them the best possible welcome to any future requests.
