Banking scams are exploding all over the world, and also in France. In some cases, scammers contact their target directly by calling them. They then pretend to be their bank advisor and try to recover their information or their money directly. Enough to cause great damage to the victims and real trauma.

The ultimate weapon against scams ?

Revolut is offering a new feature that should help combat these scams effectively. Specifically, the fintech has been testing and developing in-app calls for several months now. This tool is an additional layer of security that malicious actors will never be able to reproduce.

In short, it will be possible to communicate with Revolut customer service via a call made directly from the application. The British company also informs its individual customers that the vast majority of its customer service calls will now be made via this process. She also specifies that these phone calls integrated into the application will soon be offered to professional customers of Revolut Business.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

The neobank finally wants to encourage its users to continue to use the chat to contact its customer service in a simple and secure way.

Woody Malouf, Head of the Fight against Financial Crime at Revolut, is full of praise for this new system:

We offer our customers innovative solutions to quickly detect a scam attempt. The vast majority of our calls to individuals will be made via our application. So if you get an unexpected call about your personal account from someone claiming to be from Revolut, hang up and verify their identity directly through the app.

He adds: “By speaking to someone through our app, customers can be 100% confident that they are trading with Revolut and not a fraudster.”

Investing in ETFs on Revolut

As a reminder, the British company, which has 50 million customers, including 4 million in France, is multiplying its initiatives at the start of the year. To name just one, the fintech has decided to allow its customers to access ETFs with zero commission fees. Among them, well-known names, such as the Vanguard S&P 500, iShares Dow Jones Global Titans 50 or Blackrock and Amundi MSCI Emerging Markets.

All you have to do is schedule automatic and recurring contributions starting from €1 to more than 300 ETFs listed in Europe. Please note that these transactions will not be counted towards the monthly ceiling of their subscription.
