Revolut launches Robot-Advisor: the “autopilot” function for your investments

While the stock market and cryptos seem to be clearly recovering, many French people are looking to invest their money. An often risky choice, given that not everyone masters all the concepts necessary to make the right choices – or lack the required discipline, particularly the ability to always invest something every month.

Robot-Advisor, new to Revolut, allows you to choose between three risk profiles, several types of portfolio and financial objectives. From there, the rest is automated: simply transfer funds to your Robot-Advisor so that it can make the best choices. Which, in addition to making better informed choices, saves customers a lot of time.

What is the new Robot-Advisor in the Revolut app?

To get started with Robot-Advisor, you don't need to invest a huge amount of money. €100 is enough for an initial investment – as well as around ten euros per month minimum payments if you opt for recurring payments (you can however opt for more one-off payments if necessary). A fee of 0.75% of the portfolio value is also charged every month.

The system allows you to invest in over 2,200 US-listed stocks, over 220 EU-listed stocks and 270 exchange-traded funds ( AND F). This new service is available to all users on the latest version of the Revolut app. And is part of an expansion of révolut's investment offering in the European Economic Area – in which the firm has established Revolut Securities Europe UAB, its authorized investment arm, which is regulated by the Bank of Lithuania.

Antoine Le Nel, VP Revolut's Global Growth, explains: “53 of the customers we surveyed last year on this subject said that they simply didn’know where to start when’ #8217;is about investing. We want to give our customers the opportunity to make their money work for them with what we believe to be a tailored, stress-free solution”

The manager adds that many clients say “not having time to manage a stock portfolio”. A problem that the Robot-Advisor tries to answer. Revolut gives few details on exactly how this new service works. A priori, it is not a system based on AI – but more investment baskets designed by experts.

  • Revolut launches Robot-Advisor, a new assisted investing service available via the Revolut app.
  • The service aims to enable more customers to invest easily even if they have no time or little specific knowledge about finance, and the mistakes not to make.
  • The service also allows you to invest from 100 euros, and to set up regular payments, even modest ones – from 10 euros per month.
