“Riskier practices than we think”: ANSM warns about the effects of vaping psychoactive substances

“The consumption of psychoactive substances by vaping” can have “serious adverse effects”, warns the health authority, following worrying reports.

The ANSM specifies that it “has received new reports of cases of serious adverse effects” from users, who consume synthetic cannabinoids in particular. “The mode of consumption by vaping does not reduce the risks linked to the use of these illicit products. On the contrary, it can increase them, the action of the products being faster”, indicates the ANSM, which is concerned about the promotion of these practices on social networks, with a privileged target, adolescents.
