The “Rocancourt du Tarn” tried for rape in Albi

#AUDIENCE The trial opened this Friday in Albi and is scheduled to last until January 29. Tony Peillon, nicknamed the “Rocancourt of Tarn” because of the numerous scams for which he has already been convicted, faces up to fifteen years in prison as five women accuse him of rape and another accuses him of sexual assault. These acts are said to have been committed between the end of 2015 and the beginning of 2021 in Albi (Tarn) and Narbonne (Aude), among other places. Tony Peillon, who was described on the first day of the trial as a man whose “affective-emotional immaturity” generates “a weak resistance to desire, to frustration”, denies the facts outright.

“Scapia”, the new series on Marseille filmed in Sète

#TELEVISION One more. Sète will host the filming of a new series at the end of January. The teams of Scapia, a French production with accents of Marseille neighborhood gangs, will film car chase scenes and a BRI intervention on a trawler. Eight episodes, each 45 minutes long, are planned for the first season. Part of the first episode has already been filmed in Marseille. The rest of the filming is scheduled in Hérault and, therefore, in Sète. In the casting of this new project, alongside Moussa Maaskri and Cyril Lecomte, actors who are used to filming in the South are announced. We will find Baya Belal (Un si grand soleil), Samy Gharbi (Demain nous appartient) and Jérémy Banster (Un si grand soleil). The first episode of Scapia should be available on Ciné + OCS at the end of February.

With Chloé Ridel, the PS wants to strengthen itself in the Gard

#NIMESThis Saturday, January 25, the socialist MEP Chloé Ridel is inaugurating her office in Nîmes. The premises will also house the new headquarters of the Socialist Party. “We want to reconnect with the population,” says the elected official. “We are returning to the heart of the left and political life in general, and this office symbolizes that too, in Nîmes and in view of the upcoming municipal elections.” Elections for which Chloé Ridel intends to mobilize. “We need a left-wing union, that's clear. After that, who will lead the list, that's not yet decided. Nîmes is an important city that is also the subject of discussions at the national level. » While the communist Vincent Bourget has already announced his candidacy, the MEP does not rule out a “ticket” with him.

No legal report for Ménard's notes

#BEZIERS “We are satisfied with the explanations given,” said Transparence citoyenne, which demanded accountability from the mayor of Béziers Robert Ménard on his travels to Paris. After examining 520 notes (catering, transport and entertainment expenses), the association estimates that the €28,000 spent over four years, between 2020 and 2023, were justified by the city hall services. She will therefore not report it to the courts.

An underground bar, the new Tub of winter

#MONTPELLIER Open since November 7, Tub, the new trendy cocktail bar in Montpellier, has experienced a meteoric rise. The establishment is always full. Especially since a video posted on social networks by Val. cob, a Montpellier influencer. “Our goal was to rely on word of mouth but also on social networks, it's successful,” says Flore, co-manager of the place with Nicolas. Flore, the decor and the welcome of customers. Nicolas, the cocktails. After taking over the premises of the former Papa Doble bar, the idea of opening a site hidden from passers-by seemed obvious to them. “We've been to a lot of hidden bars, and when we saw the premises, we said to ourselves that it was totally suitable for it,” explains the young woman. After the success of the first few months, the goal is simple: to make the place sustainable and to renew the menu two to three times a year, so that the bar does not remain just a winter hit. Reservations are strongly recommended.
