Smiles on the edge of the field at the end of the match, smiles in the locker rooms, smiles in the stands… Undeniably, the Somistes, authors of a remarkable and authoritative game on Sunday against Saint-Raphaël-Fréjus (Carf), have decided not to give up this season and are getting back into the championship.

The latter having also been impeccable in his role as a full-back.
Beginning with the wind at their backs, the Millavois opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, before Rorato, on a masterfully played counter and with finally a favorable rebound, scored a try between the posts allowing his team to lead 10-0 after less than 10 minutes of play. The visitors, very strong, will react with their forwards.
Chatin scored a try which, converted, allowed Carf to come back to three lengths. Millau will then put its game in place, to the great delight of the public, and score a superb try by Roques at the end of the line, after multiple playing times. The end of the half will be more messy with a few clashes and fouls which will allow the Varois to catch up to 17-10 at the break.
In the second half, the Somistes will put in a lot of defensive pressure and counter the heavy opposing forwards on the touchline, and Zerouali will convert all the penalties offered to him to bring the score to 26-10 after the hour mark. Before the young Gabin Pipy, only 18 years old and trained at the club, scores a magnificent try after a great acceleration in the defense following a combination, thus completing his team's victory.
This is the success of a group that does not give up, as proven by all the substitutes who contribute their stone to the building for the benefit of the collective, which rediscovered, on Sunday, playing ambitions for the greatest pleasure of all. Som is not dead, and, benefiting from favorable scores in the other matches of the group, can consider the future more serenely, with in particular a month of January which could prove decisive.
