Millau termine l’année 2024 par une défaite dans l’Hérault (43-13).

No miracle for Millau on the Palavas pitch, this Sunday, December 22. If it was the last match of the year, it is also the first of the return phase of the Fédérale 2 championship.

After its great victory last week against Fréjus – Saint-Raphaël (33-10), SOM was unable to confirm at its neighbors from Hérault. The first leg was tight but to the advantage of Palavas (20-23) in South Aveyron and this time the sentence was harsher.

Not a point in the second half

The Millavois were largely dominated and conceded a new defeat, the ninth in 12 matches. They conceded the first try very quickly (7th minute) but were able to respond to stay in touch when returning to the locker room, thanks in particular to a try by Matéo Alric (21-13, MT). In the second half, SOM gave in and Palavas took advantage to score four tries without conceding a single point (43-13).

SOM continues its operation to stay up and this defeat does not suit them. Aubagne won against Pézenas (22-10) and moves ahead. Millau is therefore 12th and second to last in its group.

In the opening match, the reserve team won 21-20.
