Through Bouaré, their right pillar, the Nîmes forwards scored two of the five RCN tries. Midi Libre – Armand Veron
Traveling to the Aubenas Vals field, for the 13th day of National 2, the Nîmes did not control everything, let the offensive bonus slip away but won an important victory.
Before the Christmas break, Nîmes offered themselves an important victory on Sunday, December 15th on the Aubenas pitch, their second away. A victory that, with more control and discipline, could have been improved.
The 13th day and the ranking of group 1 of National 2
Guillaume Aguilar's men took the match by the right end. With a first try from their new right pillar loaned by the MHR, Adam Bouaré. After several moments of play, the latter extricated himself from a penetrating group to flatten in the corner.
It was then the turn of the Nîmes captain Valentin Tonin to cross the line after a pass on the touchline, slightly forward, from his winger Junior Ngandu.

A Perfect Defense
When they weren't attacking, in this first half, the RCN players defended perfectly. Like this touch stolen in their twenty-two meters by the second row Tiko Batibasaga.
Aubenas had to rely on the foot of his scrum-half Tissandier to open the score (3-12). The third Nîmes try – doubled by the pillar Bouare – came from a new touch won.
Just before the break, following a penetrating group, the former RCN pillar Jano Maisuradze temporarily took away the offensive bonus from his former teammates (10-19).
“When you put the right ingredients together…”
Guillaume Aguilar (manager of the RCN) : “I am satisfied even if we could have hoped for the offensive bonus in view of the first act, during which the players were able to set up our game both in front and behind, with a penetrating game from our forwards to put our defenders in good conditions.”
Steeve Calligaro (president of the RCN) : “When we put the right ingredients, we see the full potential of our éteam. We had an excellent first half. Afterwards, we had some slumps and we scared ourselves. It was up to us to better manage our strong and weak moments. With this victory and the one against Orléans, we made up for our misstep against Vienna."
In the second half, Samuel Roche's foot and Salmone Qeleca's try allowed them to widen the gap (10-30). In a match they controlled, Nîmes were going to play at scaring themselves, conceding two tries (31-37). Before definitively signing their victory with a personal feat by Qeleca.
