The special feature of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Motorola Razr50 Ultra is of course their atypical design. Kings of originality with their clamshell, these are two particularly refreshing smartphones on the market.
For its part, the Motorola Razr50 Ultra sports a flexible hinge for resistance and fluidity in all conditions. We note IPX8 certified water protection as well as the presence of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for increased resistance. Motorola has redesigned the hinge of its smartphone to ensure smoother and more durable opening and closing.
With its Galaxy Z Flip6, Samsung also ensures increased resistance. It benefits from reinforced edges, an Armor aluminum frame as well as a thin and innovative FlexHing hinge. Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 and IP48 certification enhance its resistance to the hazards of everyday life.
Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and Morola Razr50 Ultra look very similar. There are no drastic differences. Motorola’s smartphone is 15.32mm thick when folded, compared to Samsung’s flagship, which is 14.9mm thick. Nothing too significant, although it does give the Galaxy Z Flip6 a slight advantage.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000The real asset of folding smartphones like the Motorola Razr50 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is the external screen. Indeed, both models invite you to enjoy a new, smaller screen, with everything at your disposal. Without having to unfold your smartphone, you can access the camera, all your notifications and much more. But between the two, which one has the better screen ?
Unfolded, the Motorola Razr50 Ultra reveals a 6.9-inch FHD+ pOLED display. When you close it, you enjoy a 4-inch pOLED external display with a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz.
At Samsung, the Galaxy Z Flip6 sports a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X internal display. For the external display, the South Korean manufacturer has opted for a 3.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

When it comes to screen size, Motorola wins. Whether it's the internal or external screen, the Motorola Razr50 Ultra offers a slightly larger diagonal, as well as better fluidity. As for the quality of the screen, the two smartphones are equal in terms of performance and rendering for the less experienced. However, Samsung's know-how is (slightly) superior to what Motorola offers, if we want to be picky.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is announced as the most powerful Samsung Galaxy Z Flip to date. It is equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which gives it colossal power to respond to all your daily requests quickly, smoothly and efficiently. For gamers, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 benefits from an integrated cooling system, a first on a Samsung Galaxy Z. All this is coupled with 12 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 256 or 512 GB.

Motorola, for its part, opts for the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor from Qualcomm. This version is a little less powerful than the chip that equips the Galaxy Z Flip6. It's all about the CPU, and its cores that are clocked at lower frequencies. But the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 remains a processor powerful enough to run all your applications, even those that are resource-intensive. It should be noted that it sports 12 GB of RAM and a storage capacity of 512 GB.
Thus, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is more powerful than the Motorola Razr50 Ultra. Enough to charm performance enthusiasts.
Of course, Motorola and Samsung have made sure to offer smartphones boosted by artificial intelligence. The Motorola Razr50 Ultra relies on Moto AI to tickle your creativity. Motorola's artificial intelligence platform, distributed throughout the smartphone's operating system, offers advanced customization features, intelligent recommendations based on usage habits as well as optimized performance for constant fluidity.
For the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6, it’s Galaxy AI. You have a real interpreter in your pocket, an assistant for your messages or even the possibility of chatting with Gemini, all from the external screen. At the moment, Galaxy AI is much more accomplished than Moto AI, with much more sophisticated features. If you are looking for a smartphone boosted by AI, you have every interest in turning to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6.

The Motorola Razr50 Ultra like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 has a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh. But it is software optimization and performance that can weigh in the balance. For that, we will have to wait for more in-depth autonomy tests.
While Samsung continues to offer 25W charging for its Galaxy Z Flip6, Motorola focuses on speed with a 45W charging system. Thanks to the TurboPower charger, the manufacturer guarantees a full day of battery life in just 12 minutes of charging.

To produce superior quality photos, both manufacturers have gone all out. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 has an advanced dual camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor and the ProVisual engine to capture unique and vibrant shots, day or night. Artificial intelligence is never far away… So you can easily edit your photos with Galaxy AI.
For its part, the Motorola Razr50 Ultra is equipped with an advanced dual camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor and optical stabilization for sharp and detailed photos. Motorola also promises advanced features. While the Motorola Razr50 Ultra is not without merit, it does not measure up to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6, which offers a more qualitative experience.
Don't count on the price to decide between the two smartphones. Indeed, both the Motorola Razr50 Ultra and the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 are marketed at 1199 euros. In terms of price, it is therefore a total tie.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and the Motorola Razr50 Ultra both have their advantages and their weaknesses. These two folding smartphones absolutely have nothing to be ashamed of in terms of their characteristics. In terms of performance, camera and artificial intelligence, Samsung wins the battle. But Motorola has not said its last best since the Razr50 Ultra sports larger screens, faster charging without showing any real deficiencies.
Thus, your choice will be guided by the use you will make of your new folding smartphone. It is therefore up to you to see which criteria are essential in your eyes, and on which you are ready to make some compromises.
