Samsung is preparing its response: here's what we know about the Galaxy S25 Ultra

As Apple prepares to launch the iPhone 16 and its variants, Samsung is preparing its upcoming flagships, which will be released in early 2025. Normally, these new Samsung models will be among the main competitors of the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. And in While waiting for the arrival of these new Samsung smartphones, some rumors are already circulating about the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which will be the most expensive model in the series.

What is Samsung preparing&amp ;nbsp;?

The Galaxy S25 Ultra will be considered the competitor of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. And according to a series of publications by Ice Universe (a source that is regularly relayed by the media) on the social network X, Samsung has planned a number of improvements on this device. According to Ice Universe, the screen of the Galaxy S25 Ultra would have more or less the same dimensions as the screen of the iPhone 16 Pro Max. However, the Samsung smartphone would be more aesthetic, since it would not have a Dynamic Island. Samsung would also make a big effort on the weight of the device, since the Galaxy S25 Ultra would weigh 219 grams (compared to 227 grams for the iPhone 16 Pro Max).

Otherwise, when it comes to features, Ice Universe mentions two major improvements. First, on the camera, Samsung would offer a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor instead of the 12-megapixel sensor of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. So, on this point, the Galaxy S25 Ultra would have nothing to envy the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which has a 48-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. And if Samsung's next flagship uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 gen 4 processor, it would have nothing to envy the iPhone 16 Pro Max in terms of performance. Indeed, still according to Ice Universe, the Snapdragon 8 gen 4 would surpass Apple's A18 Pro processor on all levels.

Samsung has a head start on Apple in AI

It remains to be seen what features Samsung plans to offer on its new series of high-end smartphones. As a reminder, the Galaxy S24, launched earlier this year, offers a series of AI-based features called Galaxy AI. And given Samsung's enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, it is very likely that new Galaxy AI features will be offered on the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

For its part, Apple will not deploy Apple Intelligence until October. Initially, this new feature will be incomplete and limited to users of American English. Apple has also already indicated that the French version of Apple Intelligence will not be available until next year.
