Samsung is rolling out a feature you won't be able to live without on millions of devices

Earlier this year, Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 series. And to promote its high-end devices, the Korean giant has focused heavily on artificial intelligence. Indeed, the Galaxy S24 series includes a new product called Galaxy AI. This is a set of features based on artificial intelligence that help the user be more productive, take better photos, etc. Later, Galaxy AI arrived on Samsung's older high-end smartphones and tablets, as well as its foldable smartphones.

And this week, Samsung is also rolling out one of its new AI features to mid-range products. That feature is Circle to Search, which it’s partnering with Google. Essentially, when a user sees something they’re interested in on their screen, they simply circle that content (e.g., a pair of shoes) to launch a visual search on Google. This is a very handy shortcut, since you no longer need to take a screenshot and then crop to do this type of search on Google Lens.

Surround to Search is Coming to Mid-Range Products

This feature was reserved for some of Samsung's high-end smartphones, but starting today, the brand is rolling out Surround to Search to some mid-range devices. More specifically, the feature is coming to the Galaxy A55, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy A34. Samsung says the feature will also come to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+ tablets.

“We are committed to bringing the best AI technology to a wider audience, empowering people to work smarter, create more freely, and enjoy richer, more personalized interactions with their devices.”, also declared TM Roh, head of Samsung's mobile division.

Samsung wants to make its new features accessible on as many devices as possible

Rather than reserving its new AI features for the most recent and high-end products, Samsung has chosen to offer them on as many compatible devices as possible. Moreover, the Korean giant has set itself the goal of offering Galaxy AI on more than 200 million devices by the end of the year. Regarding Surround to Search, the Sammobile site indicates that Samsung's update will allow more than 25 million mid-range smartphones and tablets to benefit from this ultra-practical feature.
