Après une première session durant l’été 2024 à Sète, la municipalité relance ce système permettant aux jeunes de percevoir de l’argent de poche.

There were 49 of them, selected by the CCAS, who benefited from it during the summer of 2024 in Sète. These young people were selected, and volunteers, as part of the “Pocket Money” scheme allowing them to “promote their place in society and encourage their civic engagement”, as specified in the deliberation presented at the last municipal council.

200% Deposit Bonus up to €3,000 180% First Deposit Bonus up to $20,000

49 participants last year

The elected officials were, in fact, invited to consider the relaunch, extension and regulation of this scheme. During the summer of 2024, these 49 participants were involved in some 162 missions (social, educational and pedagogical) within the CCAS services. In return for three hours of work completed, they received €15 pocket money.

Other services concerned

For the 2025 season, the conditions will be the same. They still concern Sète adolescents aged 14 to 17. On the other hand, “the objective is now to extend the system to the City's services in order to offer a greater diversity of missions” , as explained by Jocelyne Gizardin, the elected official in charge of the Solidarity Center. The overall objectives will be to participate in the animation of neighborhoods, promote social integration and diversity, promote investment and work, and introduce community professions. The aim is also, according to this deliberation, “to occupy adolescents during school holidays and thus limit the temptations of excesses linked to idleness” and finally “to share the values of the Republic and the principles of public service.”

Twenty half-days per year

The maximum number of participations per beneficiary is set at twenty half-days per year, for a daily number of hours of three. Finally, the maximum duration of a project is set at twenty days during the summer holidays and five days for other school holidays.

The application must be sent by email to argentdepoche-ccas@ville-sete.fr and must include the following documents: cover letter, civil liability, proof of identity as well as that of the legal representative, proof of address, photocopy of vaccinations.
