Pour sa 23e condamnation, il s’en est pris à sa compagne qu’il a étranglée parce qu’elle lui avait demandé de faire moins de bruit alors qu’elle tentait de dormir.

A man was sentenced before the Béziers court to 2 years in prison, including six months with a two-year probationary suspension. A four-month suspended sentence from a previous conviction was revoked. He was immediately imprisoned in connection with this previous case. The defendant was prosecuted for hitting his partner, but also for trying to strangle her. He fled immediately after the incident. The victim then spent the night in the emergency room of the Saint-Pons-de-Thomières hospital. In court, the defendant explained that he had used violence against his partner because she had asked him to stop making noise while she was trying to sleep.

A very submissive woman

We learned during the hearing that the victim was a very submissive woman who could never do anything without reporting it to the man she lived with and who is an alcoholic well known to the gendarmes of the Saint-Pons gendarmerie brigade. “I admit that it annoyed me that she came to tell me to stop. She just took a blow. It threw her against the wall and she fell to the ground. Nothing else”, he justified himself. He was finally sentenced for the 23rd time by the courts.
