“The best Christmas present”

This former British model now works at England's second largest airport: London Gatwick. If she was able to return to her job as a flight attendant, it is thanks to a fight she waged for many months. In 2023, he is diagnosed with appendix cancer.

Doctors then proposed a major surgical operation on the abdomen, with the aim of removing the cancerous cells from her body. In total, no less than eight organs were removed, namely: the spleen, the gallbladder, the appendix, the ovaries, the uterus, the fallopian tubes, the navel and the omentum, details the British media. Part of her liver was also removed.

It may seem unbelievable and risky for her life, but the organs that were removed are not vital. Although she is officially in remission, Faye Louise must nevertheless undergo examinations every year for the next 20 years.

The former model is happy to see the end of this fight that lasted almost two years. “Being told there was no evidence of disease was the best Christmas present I could have received,” she explained.

“Some days I've been in the depths of despair, but most days I've had more positive days. Waiting for the results will unfortunately be the key to success or failure for me every Christmas. But it's important to keep moving forward and never give up.”
