She was going to her mother's house on an electric scooter: a 17-year-old girl fatally hit by a motorist

The 17-year-old girl was hit by a motorist this Sunday, December 22nd and did not survive the accident. The police have launched an appeal for witnesses to find out more about the facts.

The scene took place this Sunday, December 22nd at around 5:30 p.m. in Bas-Rhin on the RD392 between the two towns of Wisches and Hersbach. A 17-year-old girl was riding an electric scooter when she was hit by a motorist who was riding behind her according to information from France 3.

An investigation opened

At the scene of the accident, the mayor of Wisches, Alain Ferry gave some details of the tragedy to our colleagues. “She was riding an electric scooter. She had just left her father's house in Wisches to go to her mother's house in Hersbach.” He also specifies that the girl “did not have a vest” in a “not very well lit place”. “It was dark and raining a little. The driver was driving behind her. He hit her,” he adds.

Emergency services arrived quickly but attempts to resuscitate the teenager failed to save her, who was in respiratory cardiac arrest when emergency services arrived. An investigation was opened and the police launched an appeal for witnesses to understand the circumstances of the drama.
