Le Splendid celebrated its 50th anniversary. Indeed, Christian Clavier, Gérard Jugnot, Thierry Lhermitte, Michel Blanc, Josiane Balasko, Marie-Anne Chazel and Bruno Moynot founded the troupe in 1974. Five decades later, they decided to publish a book retracing their beautiful friendship.
On Monday, January 13, Bruno Moynot appeared on the show Chez Jordan, on C8. The actor thus spoke about the death of Michel Blanc, his relationship with Josiane Balasko, his ties with Dominique Lavanant or even the falling out between Anémone and the Splendid.

After starting her career at the café-theater, Anémone had played Thérèse in Le père Noël est une ordure. After the film's release, her relationship with the Splendid troupe had deteriorated, however. When questioned at On this subject, Bruno Moynot revealed: “There was a moment when she began to resent the entire Earth and us too, for no reason, moreover”.
For Bruno Moynot, this quarrel has never really é been explained. “I don't know what triggered that in her head. She didn't say anything to us, but she was talking stupid things on TV sets” he lamented. The actor finally wanted to add: “She was really in her world, Anémone. She was extremely gifted, but she lived a bit on another planet”.
Anemone had found success alongside Splendid
The success of Santa Claus is a Bastard in the early 1980s had helped to launch the career of Anemone. However, the actress was not normally destined to play in this film. Bruno Moynot thus confided to Jordan de Luxe: “At first, she was a replacement for Josiane Balasko, that was the idea”.
Very quickly, the Splendid troupe thought of Anémone to play the role of Thérèse. Indeed, she had been part of the café-theater and had become “a friend” of the actors. However, she had never officially joined the troupe. “There was a core that existed and that has remained“” explained Bruno Moynot. In April 2019, Anémone died from lung cancer. An illness that occurred years after her falling out with the Splendid.
