Camille Lellouche: “I had a year of writer's block”

My brain was strongly connected to his. It was my top priority at that moment and that's normal. I didn't think I could be so strongly bonded with this little being that I've wanted for years. Giving everything for my child took away my creativity for a while. But if I had to do it again, I would. After that, you have to create very strong and intense things in your art“, Camille Lellouche explained in the columns of La Provence.

I wasn't very happy at that time and before starting this new album, I had a year of writer's block. (…) I readjusted: I accept being happy today, and especially singing things that are not linked to suffering“, she also specified. Camille Lellouche was also questioned more specifically about the song entitled Seule.

The singer rarely mentions her daughter's father “out of modesty”

There is a reference to my daughter in her lyrics, but it came naturally. It's not something you work on in my opinion. I think that all my life, I will sing about love. But anyway, what else can you sing. Knowing that even in hate, in sadness, there is love ? And yet, they always want to make us believe the opposite, it's exhausting“, indicated Camille Lellouche.

In another interview given to Télé 7 Jours. The singer notably specified that it was in fact a “personal song that talks about solitude“. “Many of us wonder if, one day, love will (re)stumble on it. I was lucky, that's what happened to me“, Camille Lellouche then added, before mentioning her companion. “I don't talk much about him out of modesty. But we say so much bad about men, at the moment, that it's important to remember that some are kind and respectful“, the actress notably emphasized.
