Les policiers étaient présents pour cueillir un Montpelliérain âgé de 41 ans, qui avait dérobé le bâteau de pêche en juillet 2023.

In July 2023, a boat was stolen while it was in dry dock at Grau-du-Roi. It was a vessel intended for eel fishing. A complaint had been filed with the police, but the investigation to find him had yielded nothing.

Nearly a year and a half later, the owner was surprised to find his boat for sale on a website!

After alerting the police, he arranged to meet the owner of the boat in the Millénaire district of Montpellier, where the latter lives.

He left without a boat or a car

On Wednesday, December 4, at 4:30 p.m., the seller arrived with the boat, which had been repainted and whose identification number was masked.

He was immediately arrested by the anti-crime squad. In his defense, the seller said he thought the boat was abandoned.

This 41-year-old from Montpellier therefore left without the boat, but also without his Mercedes which had been reported stolen!
