In front of the Nantes and Saint-Nazaire sites, around fifty demonstrators from different unions met this Tuesday, December 10, in front of the CPAM headquarters. The cause was the testing of a new faulty software to compensate for work stoppages.

This Tuesday, December 10, following calls from the CGT and CFDT unions, two demonstrations were organized in Saint-Nazaire and at the CPAM headquarters in Nantes according to information from France Bleu.

The protesters are questioning the arrival of the “ARPEGE” software, which has been tested in Vendée and Loire-Atlantique since October 1st, and which is supposed to compensate for work stoppages. However, many no longer receive their daily allowances or only partially.

“A very tense working environment”

The agents positioned at reception, “on the front line”, denounce “a very tense work climate” with those no longer receiving their benefits. “The physical reception of insured persons in financial and social distress impacts us. We have speeches that are very difficult to hear”, deplores an employee .

“I have already had a person who threatened to commit suicide. We have some who say that they cannot eat or pay their rent because of us. And it is difficult, because we are asked for things that we do not obtain”, testifies another employee.

Interviewed by RTL, Natacha, who has just given birth to her third child, says: “I received 1,500 euros in October. And since then, nothing. The direct debits continue to come in, the bills to pay, the charges”. She assures that she lives solely on the salary of the father of her children.

The CPAM assured our colleagues at RTL that “the problem will be resolved in the coming days”. At the same time, employees also denounce bugs in the advances paid to compensate for losses.

It's at the national headquarters that it's blocked”, explain the demonstrators. The unions are thus demanding the abandonment of this new software and the CGT has announced that it will take its demands to Paris on December 17th during an annual meeting.
