Alongside her partner in Section de recherches, Valérie Kaprisky takes to the stage for the play Secret de famille. On the occasion of the promotion of this new project with Xavier Deluc, the actress confided to our colleagues from Gala.

While she talks about her career, she also returns to her divorce from the man she spent more than 20 years with. Indeed, after her breakup, the actress went through some very difficult times. While she talks about her divorce, Valérie Kaprisky also confides in the absence of a child in her life.

Valérie Kaprisky confides in her fight to become a mother

Indeed, she was unable to get pregnant, despite the efforts to become a mother: “I still haven't gotten over not having had children. When I met my ex-husband, I was 37. At first, I didn't want to put pressure on him because he already had two children. Then we went through the obstacle course of injections, an insemination… It didn't work. And that impacted our life as a couple. I went through menopause at 48 years old”, she reveals.

But the actress is still very close to her ex-husband's children: “Fortunately, I get along well with my stepchildren. I lived with them for twenty-two years. We have a beautiful relationship and I hope that I will soon be able to babysit when they become parents in their turn.”

But this absence child was very difficult to live with for Valérie Kaprisky: “For my part, I had the maternal instinct, but I respect women who do not want children. I find the way society looks at those who do not have children unbearable. We are sometimes considered pariahs”, continued the actress. Now single, the actress wants to “give herself priority“. “If I fall in love again, it will be everyone in their own home”, she declared.

It must be said that she lived through dark years after her divorce: “I experienced the three Ds: mourning, divorce and moving in a very short time and I sank into a depression for two years. If I had died at that time, çit wouldn't have bothered me. I have fortunately been surrounded by wonderful friends. I believe a lot &in mutual aid between women, in sisterhoodé”.
