It's a return from school that she won't soon forget. The son of Mélanie, a mother living in the Alpes-Maritimes, says that her son Livio, aged 8, was the victim of his teacher's unconventional disciplinary methods.

“I had a very bad day. The teacher made me put a ball in my mouth to stop talking”, announces the child when he returns home, according to Nice-Matin.

“A friend had his mouth taped”

“He told us that he was chatting and that the teacher had gone to get a ball, the one you scratch on rackets”, says his mother Mélanie. “She rinsed him under a tap and asked him to put it in his mouth”. Livio would have kept the object in his mouth until the lunch break.

The day after the incident, at the police station, “Livio also said that some comrades had their mouths taped shut, another stayed standing all afternoon to stop him from swinging on his chair“, she added. The gendarmerie has opened an investigation to clarify the situation and hear everyone.

The 8-year-old boy has not returned to school since Tuesday, November 26, and will change schools.
