Telethon: what we know about the many events expected in Alès during the weekend

De nombreux rendez-vous sont attendus dans le centre-ville de la capitale des Cévennes, dans le Gard, notamment durant la journée du samedi 7 décembre. Voici le programme.

Although the big national Telethon day took place last weekend, it is this Saturday, December 7, that the main Alès events will take place in the city center, to help fund research into genetic diseases. However, everyone remembers, among other things, the torchlight procession that took place on November 29.

So, this Saturday, at the Maison de la jeunesse, located on Boulevard Louis-Blanc, there will be a “video games” day (participation: €2), from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. At 1:15 p.m., starting from the church of Rochebelle, a “Montée de Sainte-Barbe” is planned to the site of the Hermitage, where the chapel will be open.

Other events are expected on the Place des Martyrs-de-la-Résistance: 60 km bike ride, at 1:30 p.m., with the Vélo club alésien (VCA); book release with the Voyages culturels association, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and all profits from the synthetic ice rink (entrance: €2) will be donated to the Téléthon, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

In addition, dance demonstrations are expected on the forecourt of the Le Cratère theater, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Texas Country 30 at 2 p.m., Soledad at 2:30 p.m., and the Satellites company at 3 p.m.

Also, on Sunday, December 8, at 2 p.m., Canto Cévennes will organize a bingo at the Espace Alès-Cazot.
