Ten students from the Albert-Einstein high school in Bagnols-sur-Cèze received a scholarship from the University of Nuclear Professions (UMN) worth €3,600 on Tuesday, December 17. This aid is part of the national France Relance plan, under the aegis of the UMN. Last November, twenty candidates presented themselves before a jury made up of representatives from the nuclear sector territory, the headmaster of the high school Thierry Delaigue and the UMN correspondent for the Occitanie Region, Philippe Lacognata. Half of them were therefore selected “on merit and motivation”. “Each of them presented us with a professional project they had planned to have obtained a diploma, explains Philippe Lacognata. We also studied the candidates' academic results, attendance, CVs and cover letters.”

They are between 17 and 19 years old

The winners, aged 17 to 19, are all following training (BTS or Bac Pro) at the Bagnolais establishment preparing for careers in the nuclear industry. They will be accompanied, for a year, by sponsors from companies in the sector. This support aims to help them in their orientation by introducing them to the professions and facilities of the nuclear industry.
