The American manufacturer Tesla has just made a big splash on the French electric vehicle market. With the launch of its new Model 3 Grande Autonomie Propulsion, Elon Musk's company wants to push the limits of autonomy and energy efficiency.
This sedan, now available to order, promises to travel up to 702 kilometers on a single charge. A figure that surpasses all previous versions of the Model 3 and places Tesla at the head of the race in the competition for electric vehicle autonomy.
Record efficiency for dizzying autonomy
The key to the success of this new Model 3 lies in its exceptional energy efficiency.Tesla announces a consumption of only 12.5 kWh per 100 km, an impressive figure that testifies to the technical advances made by the manufacturer. A performance that can be explained by the simple combination of a single motor on the rear axle and a large capacity battery (79 kWh).
A strategic positioning on the French market

With a starting price set at 44,990 euros, this new version is strategically positioned between the base Model 3 and the version with dual motor. This price, although substantial, remains competitive given the performance offered. However, it should be noted that unlike the Model Y, the Model 3 is not eligible for the ecological bonus in France , being produced in China.
Despite the absence of this government aid, Tesla is seeking to attract customers who are environmentally conscious but reluctant to sacrifice autonomy. The brand is clearly targeting drivers who are used to long journeys, for whom the fear of running out of fuel remains a barrier to adopting electric vehicles.

Performance that doesn't sacrifice driving pleasure
If autonomy is the strong point of this new Model 3, Tesla has not neglected performance. With acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.2 secondsand a top speed of 201 km/h, the sedan promises a decent driving experience. These figures, barely lower than those of the dual-motor version, should satisfy most drivers looking for dynamism.
In addition, Tesla continues to offer customization options, allowing buyers to configure their vehicle according to their tastes. The choice of larger rims (be careful of the loss of autonomy, however), various colors and a white interior remains possible.
In parallel with this announcement, Tesla has also revised downwards the price of its base Model 3, now offered at 39,990 euros. This aggressive pricing strategy shows the manufacturer's desire to maintain its dominant position in the premium electric vehicle market, in the face of increasingly fierce competition.
