&At 25, Aël Pagny is following, like her father, an artistic career. Unlike him, she is not making her mark on the stage but in the field of photography. In November 2024, she released a photo book. It traces his father's fight against cancer, over the past three years. A touching work, which shows how close the family is.
On the set of Buzz TV, Aël confides a little more on the subject. She explains in particular how she learned the terrible news. “He called my mother. We didn't know exactly what it was, just that it was something serious. After it got to the extent it did, but he was the one who called us. It was a shock. It was very weird because our whole lives we hear about cancer. We don't really know what it represents, until it hits us close”.
A united family
The news was therefore very difficult for the singer's daughter. Especially since that day, she was preparing to fly far away from France: “The day when I found out, I was taking a plane to Argentina, so it was a little weird. I thought to myself 'Do I leave ? Do I stay ?' ”.
A questioning that didn't last long, since she knew he was very well surrounded. “I said to myself, as long as he's with mom… he really only needs her. He had things to do in Argentina too, so I felt more useful being there and getting news than staying (…). I knew that if he was with Mom, everything would be fine”. His brother also joined him in South America, before the four of them got together again to face the illness.
