This Sunday at 5 p.m., at the Palais des sports de Béziers-Méditerranée, the Angels will play their last match of the calendar year against Mulhouse, second in the championship. Currently 10th in the standings with 5 wins in 13 games, the Biterroises hope to end 2024 on a high note and continue their rise in power.

Despite a complicated start to the season, marked by injuries (Majkoswka and Bouzinac among others) and a cruel lack of consistency in the game, Béziers has righted the ship in recent weeks. With four wins in their last five games, the Angels are showing new momentum. Frédéric Havas, their coach, is pleased with the progress: “The players are starting to get to know each other, to understand each other. It takes time, but now, we can see that it's working.”

“Mentally, we're stronger”

Facing Mulhouse, renowned for its consistency and which has only lost 3 times this season, the task looks set to be difficult. But Béziers can rely on notable victories, such as the one against Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud, the reigning champion. “This kind of match is a reference point,” Havas explains. Mentally, we are stronger, and that makes the difference.”

For Béziers, this match will be an opportunity to consolidate its place in the race for the playoffs and turn the page on a difficult start to the season. A victory against Mulhouse would be a nice gift to end 2024.
