It is a part of the memory of the Béziers resistance which disappeared with the death, at the age of 99, of Pierre Corbière, which occurred this Sunday, December 15. The sons and family of this former resistance fighter during the Second World War wish to pay tribute to the memory of a man who mobilized against the German occupier.
They write: “When the German troops crossed the demarcation line, Pierre Corbière, then at the Pezenas high school, chose to join a local resistance network. At the age of 17, he became a liaison agent for the Betty network”.
