“The club is healthy”: SOM Football draws a good financial balance sheet from its last season

Between great events and good work from the board of directors, SOM football is pleased with a great year and a positive financial result at the end of the 2023-2024 season. This week, the club held its general meeting dedicated to the finances of its structure. The assessment drawn up by Mickaël Prieto, the new treasurer of SOM, is good. “It's a good year thanks to the good work of the steering committee, he analyses. This has allowed us to buy a new minibus in November 2024.”

During his presentation, given in front of an intimate and attentive committee, he noted the good results with a 3% increase in revenue compared to last year and €107,000 in equity. This is partly due to the events in which the club's volunteers participated, such as the 100 km of Millau (refreshment bar), the various training courses, the refreshment bars held or even thanks to the national tournament. “We also saved €7,000 on expenses, especially on petrol because we have fewer teams in the Regional but also on pharmacies, the treasurer notes. The phase is positive, we are doing well, we are structuring ourselves, the association can be serene.”
