Le président de Promolive, Luc Poulain d’Andecy, exprime ses vœux.

On the occasion of the board of directors meeting, Luc Poulain d’Andecy organized a unique ceremony of wishes. An opportunity to take stock of 2024 and look ahead

The Nîmes association Promolive held its first board of directors meeting of the year this January in the Edmonde-Gleize room on Chemin de Russan, open to members, in the presence of elected officials Véronique Gardeur-Bancel, deputy delegate for education and educational success, and Valentine Wolber, deputy delegate for businesses and the revitalization of the city center.

A board of directors meeting but not only that: it was an opportunity for its president, Luc Poulain d’Andecy, to present his wishes during an unprecedented ceremony, he who wishes “mobilize members, no longer on the production of their olive oil, but on the program of activities of their association for the busy year 2025″. And the president admitted to being delighted with the presence of “nearly 70 participants, including manyp des 80 new members registered in 2024, out of a total of 300 families that the association has to date”. In the process, Luc Poulain d'Andecy announced a campaign report of 9 tons of olives processed, compared to 17 the previous year, and a production of more than 1,300 liters of oil, all returned exclusively to members for their own consumption according to their contributions and the yield of the day.

The president of the association and the members of the board of directors took advantage of this highlight to announce that the main Promolive event in 2025 will be held in November with the operation “The month of family olive growing in Nîmes” which will include, on the 26th, the date of World Olive Day, the organization of the second edition of the National Conference on Family Olive Growing (ANOF). Many events, intended for the public, will affirm the very strong olive identity of the territory, which lives in particular thanks to non-farming individuals, owners of olive trees, also called family olive growers. The latter represent nearly three-quarters of olive growers in France.

“Promolive is doing wonderfully, with its 24 administrators, all vice-presidents, particularly active and motivated, as well as its 300 member families, representing some 600 inhabitants of Nîmes and its surroundings. My dearest wish is that our educational mill project sees the light of day within two or three years”, concluded Luc Poulain d'Andecy by affirming that everything is ready. The ball is now in the court of the local authorities contacted. Promolive will then take its full part in its development and operating costs.
