The foldable iPad seems to pose many problems for Apple

Still highly anticipated in the field of foldable smartphones, Apple is reportedly currently working on a tablet planned for 2027, but its design would be a real headache for the firm.

Will we ever benefit from a foldable iPhone ? The question has been asked since the first prototypes of the genre appeared several years ago. If foldable screen technology was quite niche at At the time, it is clear that many manufacturers are now launching on this market. Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, Honor, Huawei… Almost all the major brands now benefit from one or more foldable phone models.

However, there is no sign of a possible foldable iPhone in the coming years from Apple. However, the firm seems interested in this technology and has been working on it for a while to integrate it into a new type of foldable iPad. The Apple Hub account has already imagined what such a tablet might look like.

This is not the first time that the rumor of a touch iPad has been mentioned on the Apple side. This information comes mainly from Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst specializing in in the leaks of information about Apple devices and who repeats again that the firm intends to first offer a foldable tablet before being interested in an iPhone of the same ilk. The analyst explains however that Apple seems quite mixed on the matter and can't really say whether it's an iPad or a foldable Macbook.

Foldable screen technology, however, seems to be a big headache for Apple. As Ming-Chi Kuo points out, the release of an Apple foldable device was previously expected for 2025. Faced with numerous technical issues, this release now seems to be pushed back to 2027 or 2028 at the earliest.
